Salone d’Onore – Triennale di Milano

The event is structured around two main components:

  1. International Symposium CITY‘SCAPE – Landscape Project for Life and Climate
  2. International CITY‘SCAPE AWARD 2025

Now in its tenth edition, the event will take place on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 June 2025 at the prestigious Salone d’Onore of the Triennale di Milano, located in Viale Alemagna 6.

Launched with the aim of promoting Landscape Architecture across various fields of design, the CITY‘SCAPE Symposium and Award – Landscape Project for Life and Climate seeks to reflect on the future of landscape design by identifying and highlighting best practices. The initiative aims to support effective design strategies within Landscape Architecture that can attribute new ethical, economic, and social values to our territories.

  1. THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM – 19 and 20 June 2025

Now in its tenth edition, the Symposium represents a significant occasion for cultural and scientific exchange dedicated to the future of landscape design. The Symposium programme is currently being defined and will be shared as soon as it is finalised. For reference, we have attached the programme from the 2024 edition.

  1. THE INTERNATIONAL AWARD – 20 June 2025

As of 20 March 2025, the official call for entries for the Award has been launched. The aim is to honour outstanding international projects in the field of landscape architecture, selected across sixteen thematic categories:

  • CATEGORY A – Urban Forestry and Landscape Redevelopment of Urban Spaces
  • CATEGORY B – Drosscape: Landscape Redevelopment of Former Industrial Areas
  • CATEGORY C – Street Landscape & Slow Landscape: Slow Mobility, Bike Lanes, Traffic Calming
  • CATEGORY D – Parks and Gardens of Historical, Artistic, or Landscape Interest
  • CATEGORY E – Brand & Landscape: Landscape Design for Industrial, Retail, and Brand Identity Locations
  • CATEGORY F – Landscape for Wellbeing and Care: Landscape Integration of Hospitals, Healthcare Facilities, and Healing Gardens
  • CATEGORY G – City Sport & Play: Sports Areas, Play Spaces, and Leisure Areas in the Landscape
  • CATEGORY H – Urban Furniture: Innovative Products and Technologies for Urban Furnishings
  • CATEGORY I – Tourism Landscape: Landscape Design for Tourism
  • CATEGORY L – Energy Landscape
  • CATEGORY M – Hi-Tech Landscape: Green Roofs, Vegetated Covers, and Green Walls
  • CATEGORY N – Landscape in Light: Lighting Design for Landscape Enhancement
  • CATEGORY O – Landscape Green Company: Product Innovation, Processes, Start-ups, and Patents
  • CATEGORY P – Digital Landscape: Software for Landscape Experience
  • CATEGORY Q – Research on Landscape Design
  • CATEGORY R – Initiatives for the Promotion and Enhancement of Landscape

Applications for the City’Scape Award are open until 9 May 2025. Eligible applicants include: Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, Conservationists, Engineers, Agronomists and Forestry Experts, Agrotechnicians, Lighting Designers, Surveyors, Agricultural Experts, Associations and Foundations, Industry Companies, Municipalities, Public Administrations and Public Bodies, Universities, Research Centres, PhD candidates and Researchers.

The Award Ceremony will take place during the International City’Scape Symposium on 20 June 2025, in the Salone d’Onore of the Triennale di Milano.

Request for Non-Financial Patronage and Dissemination

In this regard, and given the importance of the topics addressed, we are pleased to kindly request the renewal of the patronage of the Institution you represent.
