⭐Landscape Architecture around the World ⭐

In early 2022 the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) embarked on a journey to define the practice of landscape architecture globally through a job task analysis. A job task analysis is the process or procedure for analyzing the tasks performed by individuals in an occupation, as well as the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform those tasks.

In early 2022 the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) embarked on a journey to define the practice of landscape architecture globally through a job task analysis. A job task analysis is the process or procedure for analyzing the tasks performed by individuals in an occupation, as well as the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform those tasks.  The first step in this process was to convene a focus group of Landscape Architects to discuss and define the practice of landscape architecture. The second step was to conduct a global survey based on the findings from the initial focus group.

In total, over 2,400 Landscape Architects from 104 countries participated in this job task analysis. This report presents a detailed description of the process, as well as the results of the job task analysis. It helps us gain a better understanding of the profession across the globe from the perspective of practitioners.
